13 Things TV Shows Taught Me About Dating

Friday, October 25, 2013

It's no secret that I watch a lot of TV in my spare time. Cooking, cleaning, studying; TV is just as much of a background noise in my apartment as music is. I'm not going to downplay it - my taste in television is as girly it gets. Sure, I'll watch Breaking Bad and Mad Men when I have a chunk of time to sit down and really get into a show, but when I just want to relax it's out with the AMC and in with the Gossip Girl, New Girl, and well, basically anything with the word "girl" in the title. Sure these shows are obviously fictional, but that doesn't mean there aren't any messages to take away from them. I think every girl has their one (or two) series that they follow religiously. The thing is, most of those shows all tell similar stories, but they do it in different ways. If you pay attention, there are actually many tips you could be stealing from the various TV shows out there that could help guide you down the twisted, tangled path that we call dating. A few people have commented on how my blog is a bit Sex and the City-esque, and today I decided to crank that up a notch for my first official post on dating and romance...

1. No matter how old they get, guys will always be more immature than girls.
